I'm not the one that builds them, but I don't believe there was anything out of the ordinary that was done for it. I'm the only one in the organization that has RHEL3 boxes and they usually consult me if something strange has to be done. We have a fairly static RHEL3 build environment that uses a particular kernel and all the libs and such are built using that environment. I do have access to the spec files and things, I believe, if you need them and I don't mind sharing.
