>From a European perspective -- and no, I don't think I'll be coming -- Portland is a non-starter. Terrible flight connections from over here. Salt Lake City is marginally less bad, but still I can't find a direct flight from Europe other than from Amsterdam. If you want international attendees I'd suggest one of the major tourist/business cities like SFO, JFK, or a hub for an international airline, like DFW (for American Airlines). Direct flights are a fair bit cheaper and a whole heap more convenient.
