I know it's a bit early to be sure, but I just wanted to let you know:
I've applied the one line memoization patch against the 2.7 tree
(https://github.com/masterzen/puppet/commit/365e1aad4ccf3e05b54f9cb8e5f0115943111473)
 to a struggling puppet master.  We've gone from 5-10% of compilations timing 
out to none over the last two agent cycles.  The compile time graph has shifted 
left rather significantly as well.
