Hey Josh, I don't typically use sample replacement on live kits with multiple velocities etc, so this may not suit what you want to do, but when I do need a sample on a snare or something, I'll import my sample into the session to a track adjacent to my snare, copy it to the clip board, and then with tab to transient on I move through the session, finding all the main snare hits on the snare track. Its a bit annoying as you have to deselect the snare track every time you paste the sample in place on its own track but it gets the job done for me.
if anyone out there has a better solution or a way to speed this workflow up then let me know. hope that helps, Brian.
