Honestly I'd say your best bet is simply loading drum samples onto tracks, one 
for kick, snare etc then cutting and pasting them at the desired spots in the 
timeline. Say, bar 1 beats 1 and 3 for kick, 2 and 4 for snare and so on. Of 
course this would be painful for anything intricate and detailed however for 
looping a 4 bar pattern or whatever it would work well as once the loop was 
made you could bounce the tracks down to a single track and simply copy paste 
or duplicate the loop where ever and however many times you wanted. There are 
of course other ways of doing it but this is how I'd do it, depends on your 
wants and needs though and I'm sure others here would have other cool ideas.
