I like USB for its hot plugability. Also some USB keyboards (eg mine)i got a PS/2 keyboard (worked great immediately upon connection),

Good luck.but the logitech USB optical mouse doesn't work yet. "usbview" sees it, but only the touchpad on the laptop still works.
While the trackball on the keyboard works fine, I have a 2 button mouse that once worked, then stopped. Still haven't figured out why. It does work on windoze box at work. I didn't use it much, and had changed a lot of software between the last "working" setup and when I noticed it quit. It is listed by lsusb correctly. It just won't work with gpm or X.
