through. If there isn't a new stable release sometime before long, I may end up dropping cdrtools and replacing it entirely with the fully GPL licensed dvdrtools (which we ship already also) which is fully compatible with cdrtools (as it is based on it).
Of course dvdrecord is not stable either. Current version is 0.1.2. 0.1.0 was based on cdrecord-1.11a13, patched for DVDs and GNU build tools. 0.1.2 is the same, based on cdrecord 1.11a15.
The NEWS file mentions CDDB support for cdda2wav, but that's not in the Red Hat package, only dvdrecord, non of the other tools from cdrtools. And dvdrecord hs not changed in 8 months. The last release was in Feburary, added to RHL builds in March. Not exactly an active project. cdrtools on the other hand has had several release since then. The current code is 1.11a39. Cdrecord has had a long alpha stage for some time. 10.6->1.08 took nearly 2 years. 1.09 was 7 months later, and 1.10 was another 9 months. -Thomas
