Well, I finally understand what you're saying. How about the "F10" button's gone bad? How about discharging the CMOS for 30 secs. or so (by popping the battery if need be?...)

8.0 runs just fine. Im trying to get to my
BIOS to see what the setting are on my NIC.
The NIC is going into some "sleep" mode after
20 min. I have changed all the power settings
on 8.0 to see if that was the problem.

So how do you know it's a BIOS problem? Again, does 8.0 appear to install successfully?

Just have linux on the box. Worked fine with RH 7.3 I enter the command on boot (F10) and
all I get is to the RH boot screen.

Can you not "access the BIOS" on installation or on startup?

Can you still "access the BIOS" with any other OS?

I don't understand your problem. An operating system on a harddrive should have nothing to do with accessing the bios during machine startup.
