Hmm weird. I just was just thinking about the issue (before reading this mail) and I wanted to suggest just that, a "More" submenu. And I never used Windows XP nor did I know that XP has a feature like this, so it seems somehow obvious. ;) Having the Extras menu inside of the submenu seems a LOT more convenient than having to start from the top again if you don't find what you are looking for. And it's not very intuitive, as people might not think of looking there (even I fell for this when I thought that the Configuration Editor would not have been installed). Also "More" seems to be a more clear name than "Extras", especially when placed as a submenu. But I guess "Extras" is fine too if Windows XP already uses "More" and RH wants to be different. ;) However, what I would really like is an easy way to move often used entries of the "Extras" menu to the higher level menu. My first thought was something automatically like the Windows 2000 menues but this might have all kind of weird effects. Another (better?) choice might be to include "Move to [Internet]"/"Move to Extras submenu" items in the rightclick-menu of the menu items and whenever you click on an Extras-item for the first time it could present a dialog like this: ____________________________________________________ |^| Question |x| +----------------------------------------------------+ | Do you want to move the "Galeon" item to the | | "Internet" toplevel menu for faster access? | | You can do this manually at a later time by | | rightclicking on the item and selecting | | "Move to Internet". | | | | [] Don't ask me again [Keep] [Move] | \----------------------------------------------------/ Well not exactly like that but you might get the idea. And of course it would be neat if this would work well with menu editing so you could simply drag and drop the items to the menu you want or use some kind of menu editor to do this. - Daniel
