I desperately want to create a button on my panel which will start a plain
old xterm. (I sneer at your gnome-terminal, your kterm, your rxterm...)

Here's what I did.

I created a button using the button add menu hell. Then I right click on
that and create a copy on the panel. Then I edit the prefs on the new
button and tell it that it should run xterm and change it's name to
xterm.desktop in ~/.kde/share/apps/kicker Then when I hit the button an
xterm appears, but the whole panel is now dead because it's waiting for
the xterm to die. When I finally exit from the xterm, the panel comes back
to life and a window pops up saying "KDEInit could not launch 'xterm'"

What do I do to make this not wait for the xterm to finish?

Thanks :-(
