Hello, I just put RedHat 8.0 on my system and it will not boot all the way. On every attempt it always freezes at the same point when:
INIT: version 2.84 booting is displayed on the screen. I thought once that it may be the ext3 filesystem, so I also tried ext2. It also has nothing to do with Windows XP being on the same machine because I reloaded both operating systems and when I put on RedHat first it still did not work. I've tried everything I can think of... including putting init=/bin/sh as a kernel parameter but it still freezes at the same point. I must hard reboot to restart the machine at this point too. If anyone can help or has any ideas, please let me know. Thanks, Brandon Ryan ___________________________________________________________ Sent by ePrompter, the premier email notification software.
