I am trying to install psyche on my laptop, until now everything works fine except for the power management. Apm doesn't seem to work. So instead i thought, let's try the experimental ACPI kernel support. When i configure & compile the kernel however using the make xconfig method enable acpi and all the other stuff that seems important for my system and after that reboot.. I keep getting a kernel panic saying it is unable to mount my root partition. I enabled ext2 & ext3 and also the sis ide controller i have.. It seems a filesystem problem to me.
