Btw, I'm using passive mode ftp without any issues (2 CDs completed so far). But then I'm doing the download on a Mac OS X machine with a download manager, so who knows...

After that, I saw a transfer rate of about 175KBs to my home cable modem connection. FWIW, AOL blocks pings to the server, but a ping to their router averages about 45ms - pretty darn decent!
