There’s probably something really obvious that I’m missing, but I am running 
descriptive statistics on several variables, using the default statistics set 
with the addition of the SUM.  All of them are formatted as Nominals, however 
the resulting sums and max values appear to be rounding up to the nearest 100 
billion (or 1 billion in the case of the first variable).  Calculating the sums 
by multiplying N times the mean value produces what appear to the be the 
correct values.  Below is the syntax, the output, and example of how one of the 
variables was defined.  Any thoughts as to why the sums are rounding will be 
appreciated.

 

DESCRIPTIVES

    /VARIABLES= CDBAL Savbal checkbal mmbal

    /STATISTICS=DEFAULT SUM.
