Dear Holger,

I have had success in the past with Limesurvey -> PSPP by replacing the
following line in the syntax file:

 /QUALIFIER="'"

with (i.e. adding /ESCAPE):

 /QUALIFIER="'" /ESCAPE

I'm not sure if that is the issue but see how you go.
