In fact, there is a Print button for both the syntax editor and the output viewer. However, as you have observed, there is (currently) no print facility for the data window.[1]
You have several options: * Use the LIST, PRINT, WRITE or DISPLAY commands, al of which can be used to dump your dataset to the output viewer and print that. (You don't need to be technically savvy to type "LIST." - typing "DISPLAY VARIABLES." is slightly more challanging, therefore it has a dropdown menu to do this for you.) * Take a screenshot and print that. * Do your work from the terminal interface and then print your output file. Regarding your comments about the user manual, much of it is currently written in the style or a reference manual, rather than a tutorial. However it should all be correct and comprehensible English. If you find any sections which are not, please report it as a bug like you would any other. Thanks, J' [1] One of the reasons for this is that datasets typically run to thousands or even millions of cases. It would require a lot of paper! I found PSPP and have had no problem doing assignments on the GUI since it is very similar to spss, the only problem is that there is NO PRINT BUTTON! I am not technically savvy enough to perform any of the command line stuff I found posted in the forums, and the user manual appears to have been written in Greek and translated into Latin then into Swahili or something... could someone help me figure it out? my assignment is already late and I have another due tomorrow. I am trying to print a variable view of my data set, and a data view just to demonstrate that I have entered the correct data under those tabs. the version of pspp i am using is: psppire.exe 0.7.8-g796bca. thank you! _______________________________________________ Pspp-users mailing list Pspp-users@gnu.org https://lists.gnu.org/mailman/listinfo/pspp-users -- PGP Public key ID: 1024D/2DE827B3 fingerprint = 8797 A26D 0854 2EAB 0285 A290 8A67 719C 2DE8 27B3 See http://keys.gnupg.net or any PGP keyserver for public key.
