Thanks for the helpful suggestions on my output issue. I reinstalled from the repository and now have output-- descriptives, crosstabs, and etc. There were never any diagnostic error messages from the console when booting psppire with the problem, but no matter, the Windoze method wins again-- reinstall without analysis.
