Brad Thanks from me too. Your snippet of wisdom re: partfields solved a problem I've had for quite a while now. That's one thing I find with troublshooting Protel - I know it usually can be done, but I often struggle to find where it is hidden!!

And Don, thanks for reminding me of things I check (honest!) but forgot to write down . Glen -----Original Message----- From: Brad Velander [mailto:BVelander@;norsat.com] Sent: 31 October, 2002 1:05 AM To: 'Protel EDA Forum' Subject: Re: [PEDA] library review procedure Glen, in reply to the issue below there is some control over this in schematic entry. Within the schematic go to "O"ptions, "P"references, select the default tab. Under the partfields you can set which partfields are visible or hidden when the part is brought into the schematic. This is global for all parts but I think this will suffice for what you want. Remember to check the permanent checkbox or else the settings are lost after the current session. In our case we set partfield1 and partfield3 as visible in this manner. Sincerely, Brad Velander. Lead PCB Designer Norsat International Inc.
