I heard someone say they were having issues getting a version of SQL R2 to run - just yesterday. I'll pass this along.

I have a SQL 2008 R2 database which needed to be deployed to SQL 2008 Workgroup Edition. No problem? However SQL 2008 will not accept databases from R2, although they are both SQL it is a different animal altogether. The answer is to use R2 Enterprise Manager, right click database, tasks and script database. From the advanced option choose "Script as " and make sure this says 2008. There is also an option to script schema, data or both. Finally run the script generated Hope that helps someone.
