The biggest crock is the idea that you need different certificates for: + code signing on Windows + code signing on Mac + code signing for Adobe Air + etc. etc. It is all the same technology, and the same application deployed to different places, so you should be able to use the same certificate. Perhaps you can (I don't know) but they lead you to believe you need separate certs. Hell, you should be able to use the same certificate you use for your secure website.
