Actually, they had to drill too far out because of the libs. This meant they
had to drill at a depth of 1 mile, which was more expensive and more
dangerous. Talk about the theory of unintended consequences....

Sure it would.

Are you aware of the massive volume of oil under the gulf?  That is
why they are starting to drill 1 mile deep in water.  Because its
there and it was easy.  Oh that emergency stuff, well we learned a lot
about that didn't we!
