Hi Jean, I was in Detroit when that happened, and also the day Martin Luther King was killed, and lived in the area, sometimes within the city itself, for a number of years after. I left in 1982. It was a very confusing time. I doubt that the people who wrote this account were even born when it happened. It changed Detroit forever, but it wasn't exactly as described here. It was remarkable to see military troops patrolling the streets. I was no longer in the service myself by that time. -- Regards, Pete http://pete-theisen.com/ http://elect-pete-theisen.com/ _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[email protected] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
