I don't think that's what Jesus wrote. Keep in mind, there were a bunch of them accusing her, not just one. Here are some other clues: - Jews were categorically not allowed to execute anyone during the Roman occupation; - The event took place at the temple, where the Roman guards would have been posted within earshot; - It was the sabbath,and writing anything "on paper" was not allowed Next guess? > But they are the ones who need to repent, perhaps not in the way you > envision, but they need to repent.
