You are so fortunate that you have not used a tilde as a separator in your 
custom CSV file format or you'd have heard from attorneys by now...

I, Gilbert Mitchell Hale, citizens of the United States Of America, hereby
proclaim to own all rights to my own custom CSV file format, because I am
using semi-colon characters as field separators instead of comma characters,
and left/right square brackets instead of double-quote characters to nest
non-numeric field values.  Patent Pending.  Use my custom CSV format at your
own risk, and know I do not plan to enforce this patent (yet).
