I just spoke with someone who's had experience with the software I
mentioned. The OS still needs the dual mode setup for this, so the
possibility of data opening on the wrong screen is still there. He mentioned
the new version of PowerPoint has the ability, but you still have the dual
mode issue in the OS.

Subject: RE: [NF] Dual display control options

I understand there is such software. Designed for uses in presentation
related applications. A church would use this during the singing for
displaying words to a song, or later to allow people to follow along what is
being read aloud. I don't know any thing more though.

Personally I like the idea of two PC's myself.

Thanks to each one who responded. You are all suggesting a second PC which
we have plenty of. It's really more a question of finding the space to
locate the PC. If we could use the receptionist's machine the space problem
would be solved.

I had hoped someone would know about a way to drive a video card remotely
from a terminal services session or an application that uses two separate
video cards in the same PC for this purpose. It is probably better to
figure out a place to locate a second PC and figure out a way to have staff
power it on and off as appropriate.

Thanks again - Joe
