Still using Foxpro DOS (FP2.0 !) for about 40% of my time, I do think VFP9 is the top of the top of what we can do in developing language !!
IMHO, there are a lot to do with VFP in 'standard applications' for standard industries or standard countries. I do a lot of work in the industrial world (Quality management, production survey, statistics, man-machine interface, ...) and this world needs a lot of efficiency and fiability. That's not the best of windows. In other words, .NET is not the future but LINUX is as soon as programming with simple tools on a simple OS will be impossible.
