I hear ya, and understand your pov, but I'm thinking of some vertical
apps where they'd be subscription based, and having a rich/smart/fat
VFP9 app on the client accessing that web data would be my approach.

Paul McNett had made mention recently about some scenario where he was
storing data locally and yet replicating it elsewhere (like on the
web?).  That's a foggy recollection, so perhaps he could clarify.  I'm
not sure his app was even a Fox app for that matter, but the idea
sounded good.
