4) Some apps no longer work: my biggest gripe is SQL Server 2000 won't even load and I have lots of customers using it. and : to succeed with this OS you have to go with the new flow and not fight the OS and try to make it work like Windows So just learn to use new tools! They forced you to learn .Net when they said they were closing the Fox shop. Didn't they? So tell me, how hard can it be to you to learn and use some new apps. Maybe the apps you use every day can't be found in linux, but you can certainly find apps that provide the same services. And THIS is a "solid, unemotional business decision". > 2) Incompatibility possibilities based on too many different distros running > potential vertical > market applications. Please don't get me wrong. I've left linux a couple of times for w$, so I'm not going to say linux is the best since sliced bread. But I hate it when people give emotional biased reasons for a decision, I'd rather you say "Just 'cause I don't want to" _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[email protected] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
