Funny you should ask...  I just got back from a client site where their hard
drive failed last night.  I have them set up to automatically image the hard
drive once per week, and backup all other nights.  I restored the image from
last Sunday, and merely copied the newer data files.  The Outlook file
(outlook.pst) was just a copy from backup to new HDD and it was done!
