George,
Assuming you are using Outlook and not Outlook Express then all you need to
do is copy the .pst file. The easiest way to find this is to click
"File/Data file management" from the mani menu bar and then select the .pst
file and click "open folder".

Make sure that you don't have an archive .pst file somewhere that you forget
to copy over. By default, M$ put the .pst files in hidden folders i.e:

C:\Documents and Settings\<<user name>>\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Outlook

So, to navigate to them you need to set hidden files to be shown in widows
explorer.

Subject: [NF] How to Recover MS Outlook Contact List From a Failing Hard
Drive

I have a failing hard drive with a lot of Outlook contacts that I want to
get into a new install of Outlook.

Can I simply copy the files to the new drive and if so which files need to
be copied?

Or, is there a better way.

TIA

George
