The world restated time's starting point going forward.

Some of us talk about it on a weekly basis and others on a daily basis.
Those of us got it. The ones who come twice a year probably don't get it
but God has not abandoned them like He has not abandoned you.

I wish I could be the disciple. Peter gave up his wife, and followed
Christ. Became the first Pope. Amazing.

This joke was yesterdays readings. The Priest told a personal reference to
this in his homily. Back in the lat 80's the priest had a new associate
priest who came into the rectory only to find an escapee from a prison.
Disparate for cash that man killed the associate priest when he didn't have
money or enough money to give him. That priests mother told the police that
she did not want to sentence that man and have him put to death because of
what he had done to her son. How hard is that ?

Scripture: **Matthew 5:43-48*

43 "You have heard that it was said, `You shall love your neighbor and hate
your enemy.' 44 But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who
persecute you, 45 so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven;
for he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the
just and on the unjust. 46 For if you love those who love you, what reward
have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? 47 And if you salute
only your brethren, what more are you doing than others? Do not even the
Gentiles do the same? 48 You, therefore, must be perfect, as your heavenly
Father is perfect.

So when we read that can we love the residents of Iraq and Iran? Is love
another way to say tolerate and not despise? I am sure that is what that
woman did or had to do.
