I wasn't talking specifically about Dabo, but the experience of creating UI's by hand in Dabo has convinced me that it is not only an acceptable way, but at least from some perspectives a better way (because it is all human-readable code). Now I suppose if Dabo's IDE were mature like VFP's, I'd probably be designing the UI using it (but still probably editing the code directly in vim). If I were still doing new stuff in VFP, I'd certainly convert to a coded UI and do away with that blasted hack we know as the VCX file.
