Alan Stevens presentation on FoxUnit TDD at last year's FoxForward 2K7
conference was great (and I think his session won a Best award iirc).
The problem is that it takes a lot of time and effort to set up such a
great thing, and many don't commit to that. Just like Dave Bernhard's
really cool session on how he measures the SQL statements performance,
logging and highlighting potential issues based on the results he gets.
VERY cool. I'd love to implement such a beast in my framework. I
foresee it as replacing the simple SQLEXEC calls to launching a routine
that does the stamping ("start/stop") and logging of those results.
What an awesome set of sessions. I only wish they were put on 3x at the
conference so I could make sure I got to see all of them!! Well worth
the time/expense. Kudos to Kevin Cully again for such a great effort
and conference.
