Anyone with half a brain knows the reference was to not creating an opportunity 
for the Lefty Lucies to win the election and surrender... beyond that, you 
might add the influence of the Country Club Rs who are uncomfortable with a 
real conservative, even a recent convert.

I guess it true that there is none so blind as he who will not see.  BTW, Huck 
is stiill the man!
