------------------------------------------------ My son needed a new laptop because his 2.5 year old one got overloaded with dirt and a chip would just overheat and stop. He had XP home and went to vista Home. 512 meg to 1 gig in ram and processor went up a small amount. His opinion is that he really likes Vista. He does papers for school, university junior level classes, and does blogs for sports. He does a lot with graphics for his web stuff. He doesn't have anything to do with data like we do. He has the iPod with 20+ gig of mp3s as well as 40+ gig of video in tv, sports, movies etc. His opinion is that Vista is much better then XP. It's layout and flow is much more human like instead of the old school force for XP/2000/9X/3.1 Yes he has had all of those OSs. Sometimes I have to realize that my way isn't the only way. Kind of like cell phones becoming the new entertainment device. heck I want a frigin phone to call some one not a toy. So from his POV he likes it for the way he works. My CIO thinks that it's a RPITA because of the driver difficulties that he has experienced. Granted he has that Dell laptop with the illuminated case that can be seen as a beacon from a mile away in low light conditions. -- Stephen Russell Sr. Production Systems Programmer Mimeo.com Memphis TN 901.246-0159 --- StripMime Report -- processed MIME parts --- multipart/alternative text/plain (text body -- kept) text/html --- _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[EMAIL PROTECTED] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
