Rick, Thanks for the information update. Well, updating the Eula will probably take longer than the code testing and writing combined!
I really hope that they address the problems found in SP2 (SP3???) in order that we can all make use of the Sedna enhancements as it would be a real shame to just tread water with SP1 - even though it is sufficient for most needs. In the real world, I guess that there are many VFP9 additions that haven't even been looked at by the majority of developers. For example, the Report Listener and the GDi functions on Codeplex to name a but a couple. Thinking about it, Sedna and these aforementioned components give us a VFP10 and a lot of life in our so called "dead" product. I daresay once Sedna is released there will be many more people jump onto the VFP9 platform from VFP5 and VFP7 but only if it is as stable as the standard VFP9 which I have found to be the best VFP version - without doubt. What with this existing treasure trove to delveinto and Craig's up and coming VFP Studio as well as the ETecnologia initiative to produce VFP based on the .net framework, the future hasn't been as bright for many years and I certainly look forward to using the product to the end of my career and hopefully beyond. The coming year should be full of interesting developments. Apart from SP3 (please please) and the release of Sedna, my comment would be Microsoft, Microsoft - we don’t need no stinkin' Microsoft <<VBG>>. Let's all outfox the world!
