        Alcohol addiction is more severe than that. It actually changes the  
chemistry of the cell walls of nerve cells, requiring the presence of  
alcohol for those cells to function normally. People have died from  
alcohol withdrawal.

        Caffeine is not as severe, but caffeine withdrawal is known to cause  
severe headaches, and can trigger migraines in some. It can also  
cause rapid heartbeat and a dangerous rise in blood pressure in some  
people.

        Just because drugs are legal doesn't mean they aren't potent.
