After seeing them used at DisneyWorld some years ago, I thought it could 
be the NBT; however, like with so many other things (like the TabletPC, 
voice-recognition, OCR-reader software, cell-phone apps, etc. etc., they 
seem to be more of a "wow" factor and not really taking hold.  I'm 
guessing it's a cost issue, because they're certainly better than trying 
to monkey with small cell phones, and certainly easier to hold (like a 
video game controller!) as opposed to having to hold a laptop sized 
unit.  Then again, look at companies like FedEx/DHL/UPS/USPS--they use 
small devices (don't know if they're considered UMPCs though?) daily for 
tracking purposes.
