Another portion of what I'm working on might interest some of you older folks.
When my system generates an alarm, I'm going to send that alarm to a teletype located in my workshop so that I can show that there still is a need for older programmers and equipment given the opportunity (yep, I'm still wanting to find a way to use the media to stick it up the ??? of those that have sent our jobs offshore). This got me to thinking about the following site that might interest those who are ham radio operators, or SWL types. http://www.rtty.com/ Theoretically I can have the system also send the "alarm" to their site via email, and their site will process the email and relay it via teletype to those that monitor the system. http://www.rtty.com/itty/index.htm I realize that it won't interest most, but there are those that it will and it is for them that I decided to post this.
