It's a term invented and used by The Register as far as I know, it's
certainly not in common use outside of that. 

Another one of theirs is calling the iPhone the 'Jesus Mobe', which
evokes both the perceived slavishness of Apple fans and the messianic
nature of Steve Jobs.
