Of course there are cases where this will happen - it was happening for years before tablets et al appeared. What about the people who spend their lives answering emails? Drawing up 200-page reports in Word and Excel? Knocking in 25000 lines of Java? CAD? Anything at all that involves anything more than a small amount of text?
