Never said it was. Just proposed a new way to do an existing process.

Yeah what about it? We have a system of record that already does that
functionality. I am just automating parts of the shipping function that
are consumed when BOL is generated.

Some of our product is sold by lot # for customer batch demand. Other
items have a lot number that may encompass an entire 24 run. For the audit
they will either count it in an inventory audit or not.

We sell plastic bottles to food manufacturers and all are under
contract(s). Most orders come in via EDI and the other 30% of revenue
comes in directly to the plant via email release.

Not really a problem yet, and we don't order over tables as of yet. To me
an order is for a single item and will take 2,3,4 trucks to deliver it.
Granted sometimes we may be doing 20+ trucks a day out of one plant all to
the same customer.

Yeah. We get a train car or more as our raw material, resin, as well as
cardboard boxes

They will have a BOL and other paperwork attached.

Out of scope for the 2013 project. Will look forward to that in similar
situations.

Oh yeah I agree. I just have to work with the system of record. Infor LN
is our ERP most of our trading Partners use SAP. I'll rely on that to do
what it does so well.

My job is to assist loading of data into it as well as getting a better
visualization of consumption across our US plants. Canada and UK are kind
of orphaned and alone today. Maybe next year it will be better.
