It's a Clipper compiler, with additional OO extensions. Much like comparing VFP to Fox. I use it on one of my products (which I'm re-writing in C#...), which originally started life as a DOS Clipper app. Be wary of Alaska. They promise the moon but deliver very little. I've been hearing about how wonderful their upcoming version is for about 5 years. They seem to be targeting VFP people now, which surprises me as Xbase++ is nowhere near as complete as VFP (no report engine, no inline sql or views, poor designer/development tools, poor sql passthrough, limited visual controls, ...). -- Paul _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/CADwx0+K5sx8RYFVp9N_dsvoYbhYPuexsngBv16UU=np_st1...@mail.gmail.com ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
