Well, I wouldn't bet against the GOP continuing its control of the
country and the White House, After all, the GOP owns the media, and has
pretty near all the money in the country in her bank accounts. Why
shouldn't the GOP continue to rule. The rich just keep getting richer,
especially with all those tax cut for the wealthiest Americans, and the
poor just keep getting poorer with no increase in the minimum wage in sight.
The laws of this country have changed and are changing so fast that I
hardly reckconize America today as the Country of just a few years ago.
Now, with the advent of the electronic voting machine, I guess the
powers that be can make the election turn out exactly like that want,
and no one would be the wiser. The GOP doesn't like to take any
chances, so they are always careful to have the deck stack. Shoot, the
GOP can do pretty near anything they want; they can even break the law
if they want to, but damn be to him that breaks the law and is not a
card carry member of "the party". Heck, the GOP can make new law
allowing torture and other inhuman treatment of people, so as to cover
previous unlawful acts that could have gotten someone we all know in a
bunch of trouble.
Yeah, I would have to say the Democrats are whistling in the wind when
they campaign for elected office, because there no way they can beat the
GOP.

Yeah buddy, we had so much fun at the local republican club. I remember when
we decided that we needed to raise oil prices so we (you know we all own our
own oil companies) could reap the profits. We made a few mistakes though, we
forgot to kill the economy, and make unemployment go up. Oh yeah, we also
leaked a piece of intel that shed a negative light on the President
regarding the Iraq war, knowing that W would release the full document and
look like the hero. What a brain our stealth genius leader, Karl Rove, is.
Look for US to keep both houses of Congress and the White House in 2008.

Subject: Re: [OT] Bush's economic record to pay election dividends
The elections are getting close, and all of the sudden problems that
have persisted for years vanish into thin air. The energy crisis
disappears, the stock market spurts to a near 5 year high, we begin to
win the war on terror, consumer spending picks up, inflation pressures
subside, all because the GOP and President Bush are our exalted leaders.
Perhaps George W Bush is the Messiah after all. Somebody should ask him,
because inquiring minds would like to know.
I liked Herber Hoovers campaign slogan better than President Bush's
propaganda to try and ignite the GOP. Herbert Hoover promised "a chicken
in every pot and a car in every garage" LOL. Unfortunately, all the
American people got from his presidency was the Great Depression. Those
who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat its mistakes.
