hi michael
thanks for that clue about fetching the total pages in the our filter

we were using the key com.apple.print.PrintSettings.PMTotalSidesImaged..n. to
get the total pages - hence it was correct when sent from the Print Dialog.

so is there a way to get the total pages in a job At the Start of our filter???
we see in the log that cgpdftoraster does know in advance -
D [01/Oct/2015:15:12:11 -0700] [Job 518] cgpdftoraster:
"/private/var/spool/cups/d00518-001" has 2 pages.
is there a way to get that value from the cgpdftoraster ?

thanks for any help on this.

steve
