hi all - hi michael sweet - we've discovered that if we were to print a pdf document that has n-pages - if we use the lp/lpr command - it seems to send out n-separate 1-page job this behavior seems to be the same if we dragged the pdf icon into the printer queue
however, when we use the mac os preview.app and go thru the print dialog it wlll send the doc as a SINGLE Job with n-pages is there something in the lp/lpr command line that we can make it do the same ie send out a PDF doc job as ONE job with n-pages the reason for this is if our printer has 6x8 media we want to print page size = 4x6 our cups printer driver will take two 4x6 pages and make it a 6x8 and the printer has the ability to cut that 6x8 print into two 4x6s any help would be greatly appreciated!! thanks
