Mark, Your suggestion did the trick. Indeed, the drive had Void Linux installed on it previously. It's curious though, that I don't get any output from the on-board VGA with OpenBSD. I was able to do the install by connecting to the serial port, but after rebooting, still I have no VGA output. I checked the platform page for powerpc64, and it only mentions the Talos II and Blackbird as compatible, but I don't see any other specifics.
Is there anything extra needed to get the VGA working, or would it be advised to use a dedicated GPU instead? I had an AMD card installed, but removed it to cut down on potential sources of problems during this troubleshooting. Thanks very much for your efforts and quick response!
