Hi again,

We have a server which is running a single instance of postfix 2.10

The plan is to replace that single instance with two separate postfix instances
using the postmulti functionality.

What would the best plan of action be in terms of "removing" the existing instance (after we shut it down), so as to have the least possibility of its remnants creating issues for either or both of the two new instances that we will subsequently be configuring?

Should we be moving files/subdirs "out of the way" from /etc/ and /var/log/ (and perhaps elsewhere?) "manually" before invoking postmulti and starting to configure the first of our pair of postfix instances which we will be migrating to?

    thanks,
       ~c
