The first one is for outgoing mail, the second one for incoming.
And BOTH are deprecated.
smtp(8) is for the SMTP client,

Someone starting out in 2022 should not be using deprecated settings.
Don't use random HOWTOs on the Internet, stick with the Postfix
documentation.
