Postfix 3.5.9-5.9.2 on OpenSUSE Leap 15.4 Postfix does not start anymore after reboot today.
Unfortunately no a very detailed error msg logged: # journalctl -r -u postfix Sep 29 15:55:48 vserver systemd[1]: Failed to start Postfix Mail Transport Agent. Sep 29 15:55:48 vserver systemd[1]: postfix.service: Failed with result 'timeout'. Sep 29 15:55:42 vserver systemd[1]: postfix.service: start operation timed out. Terminating. Sep 29 15:54:07 vserver echo[4409]: Starting mail service (Postfix) Sep 29 15:54:07 vserver systemd[1]: Starting Postfix Mail Transport Agent... Tried with "smtp inet n - n - - smtpd -vvvv" in master.cf as advised in Postfix Debugging Howto, same log entries, no increased log at this point. Last update of postfix itself via package manager was months ago, while distribution upgrade of OpenSUSE Leap 15.3 to 15.4. Latest changes in /etc/postfix config files are from 2021. No idea what might be wrong. Any hints how to narrow down further? How to increase the "correct" log level, as "smtpd -vvvv" does not help? Any hints highly appreciated, thanks in advance, Michael
